When I was young I was very idealistic and hopeful for the future. I believed that my generation would lead our nation and our world to peace for all people as soon as the older hateful people that populated the planet died and got out of the way. Turns out that many in my generation were just as hateful as their parents and grandparents. Not certain anymore how long this must last and if you are of the current hopeful young people today learn one lesson from my experience. You cannot wait for change, you must be the change.
