In Memoriam – Patrick Stewart

Sadly another installment in my occasional In Memoriam series for Actor Patrick Stewart. This series is not meant as a full service obituary, but as a personal note of loss for a person that meant a lot to me. I know that Mr. Stewart was most widely known as the commander of one of the Star Trek series or in the Marvel Universe of films; neither of which I was a follower of. However I saw him three time live on stage and he always made an impression on me.

The first time was in 1995 when I saw him in The Tempest on Broadway.

The second was five years later in The Ride Down Mount Morgan.

And most recently in Harold Pinter’s The Caretaker in 2003. Certainly one of my favorite plays and my favorite performance of his.

And, of course I still have copies of the playbills and his amazing performances. He was amazing. Godspeed Patrick Stewart.
