Sorry I haven’t posted of late, been very busy and not looking to let up soon, but will try to post more often.
However, I always try to post on World Theatre Day and I have a couple of bits of news on this very special day.
My play “Celebrity Divorce” received its world premiere in a performance by Playwrights Round Table in Orlando, Florida. It had been delayed for a couple of months due to COVID delays. It was terrific and I was happy to see it flowed exactly as I anticipated when I wrote it. It was directed by Dev Zebra and performed by Russel R. Trahan, Anthony Marando, and Kaley Redfield. They all did a great job.
And even more exciting is that I will be trodding the boards once more. The Living Drama Theatre in Eustis, Florida has cast me in Kaufman and Hart’s “You Can’t Take It With You” in the role of Mr. De Pinna. All of the above named are also in the very large cast (it was through the contacts made during that performance). It opens for two weekends on April 29 and I have a lot to do to prepare. Though I have done readings and studio performance for fellow playwrights, this will be the first fully mounted production I have done in many decades. I hope to bring you more news about the production as it approaches. But for today celebrate World Theatre Day with me with this bit of news!
