National Waffle Iron Day with a new trick

I’ve written about this national day before and gave my sourdough waffle recipe with it a couple of years ago and you can find it here.

But for this year, I decided to try a new trick for me. Not my idea but I really liked the concept. Cook up some tater tots in a waffle iron! Brilliant! I’ve written about tater tots before and you can check it out here.

Really simple. You spray some cooking oil on the grid, line up with room temperature tots, close the lid and cook until crisp. I adorned with some sour cream and chives. This lazy latke was terrific and a nice use of my Villaware Waffle Iron and I will certainly make this again! Give it a try!
