While I ryde my Can-Am Spyder year round, the really fun times come as spring breaks and I can take some of my favorite routes. That is especially true of Arden Valley Road on the edge of Harriman State Park just north of NYC. The road is actually closed from December 1 through April 1 so that they do not have to keep the road clear of snow in the winter months. It is a gently twisty road and a very enjoyable trip. It goes from Route 17 to the easternmost traffic circle on Seven Lakes Drive. It is just a portion of the wonderful roads in this region and I have taken a couple of trips on it since it re-opened. I recommend a quick drive on Arden Valley Road, whether on four wheels or two wheels (or three from my latest bike). I’ve enjoyed all three modes and recommend it any day.
