Harumph. As I noted about ten days ago my promising Reds need to step up to the plate and deliver on those promises. Sorry to inform you they are slipping farther back. And the season threatens to leave them behind. In their last stretch they went 4-6 and now stand at 41-48, the only team with a losing record in the still potent National League Central Division. That puts us 14 games out of the division leads and 7 and a half games out of the Wild Card chase. That light on the horizon looks more and more like and oncoming train.

Because the season is half over they need to turn things around right now. I still have faith in their capabilities and will root for them. But you will excuse me if I am a bit blue about their prospects at the moment.
