There are many Pies that are celebrating with their own National Days throughout the year, but today is a generic National Pie Day. You can bet I will be celebrating them throughout the calendar but today, let us celebrate all types and flavors of pie. And the fact it falls on a Monday is luck for me. Here in Florida (and I expect across the nation) Perkins restaurants offer a slice of free pie with purchase of an entree every Monday. Now, I can afford to pay for a slice of pie, but I think it tastes even better when it is free. Don’t you? Happy National Pie Day!
