Winter Solstice 2020

Our ancestors were not distracted by streaming services and smart phones. They were much more focused on natural phenomenons. They charted stars and measured closely the rising and setting sun. Before they understood the tilting of the earth on its axis they knew. The winter solstice was the longest night and shortest day of the year and after it the days grew longer and spring returned.

2020 has been the longest and darkest year I have known. But it feels like the sun is slowly coming back and there is hope for 2021. Let us pray that warming is on the horizon. 2021 cannot get here soon enough. Stay safe and stay well. Hope is on the way.
