Scott Siegel runs an excellent series of a musical cabaret program of Broadway hits from selected years at The Town Hall. Arguably 1943 and 1951 are slim pickings beside Oklahoma! but there are favorites from many sources.
The performers were uniformly skilled but the stand outs were William Michals, Robert Cuccioli, and Oakley Boycott. The evening was enjoyable without any breakout performances as I saw in a previous version.
I am looking forward to the next two iterations which encompass 1965 & 1978 and 1987 & 2015. Lots of strong options and I will report more about it here if I have the good fortune to see them.

ATOBTTR update – The Cincinnati Reds finally won their second game of the season yesterday so we got to hear Marty say “And This One Belongs To The Reds again.” It is my belief that someone in the Reds organization is reading my blog and took inspiration from me to score fourteen runs to win the game. Hey, it is my blog and my belief. Go Reds!
