National Home Made Soup Day

Today is National Home Made Soup Day. There is nothing more warming than a bowl of delicious fresh made soup during a dark winter.

Did you see the game last night? Most of America did, I’m sure. Actually I prefer a defensive match so I enjoyed myself. I don’t need lots of scoring to enjoy any sport.

You can find several recipes for homemade soup on my blog. Recently chicken noodle and tomato basil soup. I’m still experimenting with the recipes and may update them soon.

I have some delicious recipes worthy of a souper bowl award.

Did I really go that far for such a silly punch line? You bet I did. Not proud of it, but will do it again. Soon.

As always you can find more at http://www.walterthinnes.com and on Twitter @walterthinnes

    1. Though I do eat meat I am about to try a Minestrone Soup recipe with primarily vegetables (may use a homemade chicken broth but could be done with a vegan version). Soups are the perfect vehicle for vegetables. Enjoy!
