Today is National Pepperoni Pizza Day and growing up in Cincinnati this means a LaRosa’s Pepperoni Pizza.  Luckily this is actually available in New York City once each month at Edward’s restaurant at 136 W. Broadway.  They also offer Skyline Chili, Montgomery Inn Ribs and Graeter’s Ice Cream.  It happens on the last Monday of each month from 5 PM to 10:30 PM.  The next event is Monday, September 24.

I visited during the most recent Cincinnati Day and wolfed down a LaRosa’s Pepperoni Pizza, the flavor very familiar from my youth.  And, of course, finished it off with a bowl of Graeter’s Mint Chocolate Ice Cream.  Stop by next last Monday of each month for a taste of Cincinnati in the Big Apple.
