Today, January 12, is National Marzipan Day.  This almond based sweet is one of my favorite flavors in the world.  I get the love of this treat from my father, for whom it was also a favorite.  I have found that people seem to either love marzipan or hate it.  I am happy to take on all the marzipan from those who dislike it.  If you got it for a gift this holiday and couldn’t bear to tell the giver that you disliked it, slide it my way and I will take care of it in an environmentally positive way.  Yes, I will happily eat your marzipan.  You’re welcome.
