On Saturday New York got the first snow of the winter season. It was the perfect introduction. About 5 or 6 inches in my neighborhood, gently building through the day and ready to melt away over the next couple of days. A nice start to what will hopefully not be too disruptive of a weather season. Of course much of the south had a more jarring experience but we’re used to it here and the snow plowers did a good job in our neighborhood of Hudson Heights. The perfect mood setter for the evening of the Polaris North annual Holiday Party. It didn’t even snow enough to disrupt the Alternate Side Parking regimen (see blog post last week) for any day other than the storm.
