The New York Yankees have named Aaron Boone as their new manager. I will always associate Aaron as a member of the Cincinnati Reds as they drafted him and he premiered in Riverfront Stadium. He also hit the final home run in that stadium and was a sterling (and fiery) presence on the team. He has a storied family history as the third generation of a great MLB lineage. He went on to great years as a player with the Yankees and other teams. He has not managed on any level but he will be fantastic in anything he puts his mind to. I’ll still root for my Redlegs this season but will keep half an eye on the Damn Yankees.
