The Parkway Playhouse of Burnsville, North Carolina has selected my script BLOODLETTING IN THESE HILLS to be part of their 2024 Appalachian Playwriting Festival in September. Three scripts will get a staged reading open to the public and one of those will be given a fully staged production in a following season. The Parkway Playhouse is in my favorite part of the beautiful mountains, just 30 minutes outside of Asheville, North Carolina. I have only recently been advised of my script’s inclusion and I am waiting to hear more details which I will post here and at my playwright website (www.walterthinnes.com) as it becomes available. I look forward to riding my motorcycle up into my favorite mountains on the Blue Ridge Parkway, my favorite road. And maybe I will get a chance to say hello when I meet you at the festival!
