There is no question that last year was weird. Weird when the Reds made the playoffs after such a long wait. Unfortunately normality returned when we could not score a single run during those playoffs. The hope, of course, is that the team has finally gotten strong enough to contend and that we get another playoff bid this year.

Today the Cincinnati Reds hold their first Spring Training game in Arizona. Today anything is possible. Today the Reds could win the World Series. Today, regardless of what the calendar tells you, is the beginning of a new year, the start of spring, and hope reborn. Go Reds!
