Cincinnati Night at Edwards Restaurant!

It can be difficult to be a Cincinnatian in NYC.  To be honest, the best treat to be found in the City That Never Sleeps is my own kitchen with my (mostly) secret recipe for that unique beast – Cincinnati Chili.

But I am here to tell you that second best is at Edwards Restaurant at 136 West Broadway (between Thomas & Duane) on the last Monday of every month.  Here they serve Skyline Chili, Montgomery Inn Ribs, LaRosa’s Pizza and Graeter’s Ice Cream.  If these names mean nothing to you, please stay way.  It was plenty crowded when I attended the recent July Cincinnati Night at this excellent eatery.  But if they fill you with dreams of the Queen City, come on by.  I restrained myself to two Cheese Coneys and one Graeter scoop of Buckey Blitz (note I practically inhaled it before remembering, oh, yeah, need to take a picture of what is left!).  The next Cincy Nite is Monday, August 27 (always the last Monday of each month) and I might be tempted to return.    Hmmm.  Maybe tonight I will check out the Reds vs. Mets matchup tonight at CitiField.  Though I doubt there will be a Cheese Coney to be found.
