If you are in New York City two weeks from today, I hope you will join me for Plays and Prestidigitation #9 – The Fright Edition. This is an occasional series I present at Polaris North, a co-operative of theater artists at 245 W 29th Street. We perform a group of short plays interspersed with magical interludes by yours truly. Please note some of the plays contain adult situations and language.
Some editions feature a theme and playing off the proximity of Halloween, the plays are sometimes frightful, sometimes macabre, sometimes odd and often funny. Admission is absolutely free, though if you wish to donate, all funds go to support our mission at the studio. All participants are volunteers and most are members of Polaris North. There is an all invited reception after each performance where you can nosh and drink with the playwrights, directors and performers.
I am fortunate to have two plays in this event, both directed by Pamela Wilson. I am also blessed with the talents of an extraordinary group that includes Kasey Moorhouse, Austin Palenick, Desiree Pinol, Carly Ruda, and Shelton Tripp. For the first time I will be joined by another magician on stage – Magic Zander – an extraordinary talented magician I recently met. He is a very special 12 year old well on his way to becoming a noted magician.
I hope you will join us but be sure to make reservations as the evenings often fill up!
