My beloved Cincinnati Reds 2017 season finished on Sunday. We had the awful record of 68 wins and 94 losses. As I have for nearly three decades I can only say “Wait Till Next Year.” I got to see them lose in their trip to New York again this year. I’ll try to see them again next year and hope they show me a win.
There were some highlights. Joey Votto started all 162 games. Scooter Gennett (a Cincinnati native) tied a record with four homers in one game. The amazing Billy Hamilton continued to develop as a serious threat on the base paths and a growing one in the outfield.
Yes, I do have confidence in 2018. It will be our year. Again. And now I understanding is there are some other teams involved in something they call playoffs. Not familiar with them lately.
