I’ve only been doing Throwback Thursdays on a regular basis for less than a year. Since Thanksgiving always falls on a Thursday, you can be sure I will have to mount many of these entries over the coming years. Luckily Thanksgiving means a gathering of families and lots of photos along the way. I hope to feature many more on the blog as I continue to mine the backlog of photos I have come across.

First here is a throwback to 1964 with the familiar perspective from the kid’s table to the adult’s table. Remember that? Ah the happy day when one graduated to the grownup table. One felt so sophisticated but missed the shenanigans with the olive tray at the smaller table!

And one more with my father carving a turkey for a special Thanksgiving. The year is not specified on the photo but it looks like we may have been unpacking for our first Thanksgiving in the Hollywood Florida house which would place this at about 1974. Best guess.

Here’s wishing you a very Happy Thanksgiving with your family. Take lots of pictures so that your kin can later remember. Hope that your TikTok videos will last as far into the future as the photos from our day!
