Today is National Almond Day and what a tasty, versatile nut it is. You can spice them up for snacks with either savory or sweet coatings. You can drink them as milk (you can find many recipes for making almond milk at home on the web, but easier just to pick up a carton at the grocery). You can even drink them as amaretto – yum! But my favorite use by far is to make almonds into marzipan. Enjoy them however you wish on their special day!
