February 28 is National Tooth Fairy Day

The above image is an actual police sketch of a confirmed siting of the famous tooth fairy (editor’s note: not exactly true). Reports indicate that kiddos today get an average of $5.00 for each and every baby tooth lost from their precious little mouths and deposited under their pillow (editor’s note: correction – the tooth fairy is real but has never been seen in person). Five Bucks? Really. I know I am old but back in my day (editor’s note: here we go again) I got only a quarter per molar and was grateful to get that. (editors note: I have to listen to this jabbering every doggone day.) I have it on good authority that children are now paid in some cryptocurrency called Roblox (editor’s note: as usual he has no idea what he is talking about). Heck, if I could get an Abe for a tooth today, I’d pluck them out myself (editor’s note: if you know an opening for me to edit a different blog, please let me know. I gotta get away from this guy).

Unfortunately there is no cute tooth fairy for people my age (editor’s note: at his age I’m surprised he even has any teeth left). Instead, there is only a root canal fairy and that is an entirely different creature (editor’s note – this is unfortunately true!):
