In case you missed it, recently I renewed my blog after many months of illness. You can review it by finding my blog post of February 5th or searching my past posts for “dialysis.” The word cloud above may seem overwhelming to you, it reflects my current journey. The process of performing home dialysis is complicated and very involved. The requirements to keep a sterile atmosphere and following strict protocol is intense. This is an update to the process.
I have recently passed two trials by my dialysis provider DaVita. I passed an adequacy test with flying colors which explores how effective the therapy is going so far. This will be repeated over and over again as my therapy continues. My DaVita team is talented and deep. My Dialysis Nurse and Nutritionist just confirmed that my labs and my internal chemistry is stable and I am currently healthy. They will be watching quite closely in the months to come because my condition can change quickly. But I am delighted to get off to a clean start and hope I can keep it up. I’ll keep you up to date if you are interested.
