The MLB Post Season opens today and if you look for my beloved Cincinnati Reds you will notice…they’re not in the playoffs this year. But they provided a thrilling ride missing the wild card by just two lost games. That is a big turnaround from last season when they dropped 100 in the season – the true measure of baseball futility. But the new baseball rules and the athletic young rookies that got tossed in this season came together formed a brilliant team that far outstripped expectations. It is the first time in a long while I can confidently say, watch out for next season. We have a real opportunity in 2024 and I will be watching closely. So keep an eye on them. They will be something to watch. As for this post season, I will reluctantly root for the Atlanta Braves and hope I don’t curse them in the process. Go Reds!

The Reds did provide some thrills this year! And they diverted my attention, somewhat, from the Royals’ 106-loss stinker.

Hopefully your Royals can spring back like the Reds with a talented bunch of rookies next year, but I doubt you will find another Elly de La Cruz.
