FINALLY – My Cincinnati Reds are back in the Post Season!

It is about time. My Reds have not been in any post season since 2020 when the playoffs were expanded for the pandemic and were icky bounced out. Before that it was in 2012 and we were also blanked out. Needless to say, my club has been hungry for a long time. Especially because the last time we were in the World Series was way back in 1990.

And this season we played little better than a 500 team, often down and when up just by a little bit. I’ve watched and listened each season and could see the talent but worried they could not win the big game. And we made it into the playoffs largely because the New York Mets collapsed in the last two weeks. But I will take it!

I am lucky that my phone provider T-Mobile offers a free MLB.TV each year. I either watch the televised version or listen to the radio version depending on which broadcast features the talents of Jeff Brantley for that game.

And of course the next hurdle is facing a 3 game away series with the defending World Series champion Los Angeles Dodgers who beat us five of the six games we played this season. But you can’t win it unless you are in the contest and I will be rooting for them as they start this Tuesday. Go Reds!
