The entire concept of National Days assigned to this food or that activity or some person day is frivolous and has gotten quite out of hand. And I celebrate them often, with snarky remarks or useless imaginary art ( as you can see from this blog). The first Saturday in May is actually World Naked Gardening Day. It was founded by the editor of a nudist magazine back in 2005 and I assume he is busy with this particular activity today.

I’m not sure this is a good idea, especially if you grow roses or blackberries. And I can only shudder at the thought of what small icky pests you may have on your plants and where they may end up in the process. On the upside it must be easy to hose off at the end of the day.

However, I do believe if you practice this World Day your gnomes must follow suit….
