Having moved back to Florida after many years away, I am again reminded of all the strange occurrences that happen in this state. From time to time I’ll be filling you in on the odd people and animals found here. It is always entertaining and sometimes just a little scary.

Recently Joseph Leedy, 40, a homeless man wearing only a woman’s blouse and no pants crashed his car into the entrance of the Marin County Sheriff’s Office.

He threw motor oil and rubber snakes onto the floor and threatened to “kill everybody” before being arrested.

Though he caused thousands of dollars in damage, he was not able to breach the steel doors leading further into the jail cells. Visits to the jail have been temporarily suspended until repairs are made.
