I know that I’ve gone a little overboard by assembling AI mash ups of National Days where I start with an animal and team it up with a couple of food National Days for a silly visual. It has been fun and a diversion but I tried something different lately. I realized that today was National Cold Cuts Day, National Soup it Forward Day and National Mulled Wine Day. None captured my attention and there was no animal to tie them together. So I asked Gemini from Google to create a still life version of cold cuts, soup and mulled wine and this is what I got.

What struck me first is how closely it mimicked a photorealistic painting in style and approach and remember the only instructions I gave it was the sentence above. But look closely. It placed the soup in a silver tureen and made a very realistic reflection in the shiny silver side. This scene never existed but the computer created a startling realistic picture. Don’t trust any image you see on the web, this gets frightening…
