On this date – the Longest Shootout in FBI History…

On the shore of Lake Weir, in the small town of Oklawaha in Central Florida, near where I currently reside, is a most amazing house. This simple wood frame home was the site of the longest gun battle in FBI history on this date, January 16, 1935. It is remarkable because it is in much the same condition it was in 89 years ago. Want to see it? Because you can take a tour of the home with exceptional tour guides to show you around. I did that a year ago and published a post regarding it on my blog. That post has been the most viewed entry of my blog over the last year. You are welcome to visit (or revisit) it using the link below to learn more of the history and follow another link to arrange to be on one of the coming tours. It is well worth your time. Try it.
