Rough stretch for my Cincinnati Reds. We’ve lost eight of our last nine and we are skidding south. Yesterday we lost the rubber match of a series with the Miami Marlins. Ouch. We’d better show back up to form or the season will slide away from us with just under 60 games left.

It did get me thinking back to the 90’s when the Miami Marlins were founded as an expansion team while I was living in southwest Florida. They were the new local team but I could not stop rooting for my Reds. So I took a Reds hat and Marlins hat, sliced them in half and sewed back the odd pair to show some “divided” loyalties and attended a game. But note that my T-Shirt and suspenders gave away my true fandom…
